9-1-1 Compliance In Champaign County

METCAD operates under authority from the Illinois Commerce Commission.  In Illinois, the Commerce Commission oversees 9-1-1 compliance and establishes the rules that accompany the State Law regarding 9-1-1 systems.

The ICC operates a comprehensive web site that has some excellent information on 9-1-1 system rules and compliance guidelines for businesses as well as consumers.
